I lost my best friend/husband on December 12, 2017. He had a heart attack and was on life support for three days as all kinds of tests were done before he was determined brain dead, then came the devastating time where I had to make the decision to turn the machines off. I feel so lost, numb at times. I try to keep busy, his "Celebration of Life" is April 28th. I just keep thinking after that day what am I going to do? It will be finality. Feeling depressed.

Hi Contesss. I lost my partner 2 weeks ago in a similar way. His heart stopped, they dont know why, which is awful as I cannot understand what happened. He was on life support for 3 days too then declared brain dead. I am beyond devastated. We had just moved house and been in it less than 2 weeks so I feel I'm in a strange place and without him. I have no idea how I'll survive his loss. I truly know how you feel x

i can only sympathise with you - lost francois on 25 march 2018, and feel as though i am living in a tunnel - they apparently call it widow's fog. it hurts something terrible when i try and clear that fog. God bless !!! don't know whether i am using this website correctly, but don't wish this on anyone !

Yes, I got your post. I'll have to look this up. So very sorry for you. Yes, I feel the same. I have not faced this at all and am terrified to. But am told by friends and family it will come and there'll be no stopping it. This happens all the time and somehow people go on but I'm not sure how. I feel your pain xxx
