Ride a bike, throw ice, jog, run, walk, coloring, drawing/doodling on paper, create lyrics to how you feel. Help someone else out on SG and maybe you can answer your own question about life troubles. Make something to eat, volunteer (dog walking you might meet a sad dog who was abused that only what to be loved), or perhaps a neighbor who has an dog. =)

@mari15 Music is a great outlet! "When you are happy, you enjoy the music. When you are sad, you understand the lyrics".

I am not sure what type of music is your favorite, but Twenty One Pilots understand depression. The whole album "Blurryface" is about the lead singer overcoming and defeating depression (i.e. who he refers to as Blurryface). One of my favorite lyrics is from the song goner- where they are calling out for help to defeat the depression,

"I've got two faces
Blurry's the one I'm not
I need your help to
Take him out"

Depression and suicide are clearly topics that the band knows quite well. Even if the style isn't your cup of tea, I would recommend taking some time to read the lyrics. They offer some really great advice.

The song "Kitchen Sink" really helped me. Specifically these lines:

"Are you searching for purpose?
Then write something, yeah it might be worthless
Then paint something then, it might be wordless
Pointless curses, nonsense verses
You'll see purpose start to surface
No one else is dealing with your demons
Meaning maybe defeating them
Could be the beginning of your meaning, friend."

There definitely is healing power in music.

I hope today is off to a better start for you.
