Hi, I am new to this site. Lke other posts I have seen, I also suffer from mental illnesses as well and went through a hard divorce after being with my partner for 20 years. The stress of everything was causing me to over shop and spend and now I realize that I have a problem and need to find different coping mechanisms to deal with it rather than spending. I am so grateful to find a group like this out there. I just joined and just knowing that I am not alone is a huge help! In such a materialistic world it is easy to get a cheap high by shopping but ultimately I experience quilt and feel worse afterwards. I realize now, that I have to break the cycle. Any help or suggestions would be welcome.

@Cat42. Welcome to support groups. I find staying busy helps me to not want to shop. I do a school app called Udemy. On Google play store. The classes are kinda inexpensive. Also I watch motivational you tube stuff. I am low income also. I heard there is a shopping addiction anonymous online group. Take care
