i just read a hug poem and i think it was great. we all need hugs and it helps you feel better. i was always a hug person. i feel safe when i get one. how do you feel when you get a hug. we need to love eachother and show it through hugs. never be scared to show love to friends and family. even if you dont hug all the time, you still can give them at any time. how do you feel about hugs? tell me and we can talk. shannon

I just watched this great video on youtube where several men and women in Italy walked around with signs in English and Italian that read, "free hugs." I literally watched it and had tears in my eyes (granted the music was very emotional and after having kids everything makes me cry). Human touch is a very powerful thing-meeting someone for the first time and shaking their hand or hugging them is an exchange of energy, both positive and negative.

It is like that Shel Silverstein poem:

“I will not play at tug o' war.
I'd rather play at hug o' war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.”

― Shel Silverstein, Where the Sidewalk Ends
