I wish I could stop obsessing over my level of attractiveness. My self-image is so warped I'm not really sure how ugly I really am. I go through phases where I feel like the ugliest person on the planet and I can't even stand to be seen by the people I live with. Then every once in a blue moon I feel attractive enough to hold my head up a little higher when I go out. But overall, I'm unhappy with my face and I feel like I'll never be happy without surgery because for some stupid, shallow reason being beautiful is the most important thing in the world to me.

Why do you feel like this? Were you bullied about it or did it start out as a negative thought that has stuck? And I know how it feels. I have good days and bad days as well. The best advise i can offer is to find something about you that you like and remind yourself of this when you feel down. For example, I hate my skin. It is covered in spots and blemishes and I cant stand it. However, I have nice blue eyes. So when I stare at the mirror and hate myself for not having flawless skin, I look at my eyes and think to myself that at least i have nice eyes. If you focus on the positive parts it helps to distract from the negative, and in a while you will start to have more days were you feel good about yourself. And if you are having a bad day, comment on here! we are always here to support you and bring you back up when your feeling down!

@Blessed98 It started out as a negative thought. I can't recall a time that I was flat out told I'm ugly but I've never been praised for my appearance either. I know that's shallow, but it is hard not to think about when society puts a lot of pressure on women to be beautiful. Thank you for the advice, I will give that a try.
