Waking up this a.m., not feeling the greatest. When i woke up i heard my neighbors laughing and immediately thought they were reading my mind. Does anyone else struggle with this when they hear people laughing? i had 4 drinks last night. I'm wondering if it made my symptoms worse. Hard to say..I've never really was convinced this much that the delusion was real. Kind of scary.

were you bullied before? or hurt by someone? it seems like you're reading more than there is to read.
oh, i see. I think drinks might have affected your perception. I'm not scared by your symptom. I rather feel that it can happen to anyone and you were just a bit more sensitive and suspicious than needed to be. relax. and trust people to be good, or at least give them benefits of doubt.

@Strawblue Thanks for the reply. I wasn't really ever bullied but laughed at during my teenage years yes. I've never been physically abused by anyone. I don't really trust anyone tbh. I think everyone is out to get me. Everywhere i go i hear strangers laugh and immediately assume they're laughing at me and get awful feelings in my stomach. I try to give people the benefit of the double but that doesn't always work when i'm in defensive mode. My sleep problems are really affecting my day-to-day living. I will know more when i see the sleep specialist this week.
