Hi folks -
I have CPTSD. My husband and I have been having a lot of trouble in our marriage over the last year or two and it's really brought out the CPTSD and I am now in treatment. My husband is abusive and that has caused numerous regressions. He now says he has 'vicarious trauma' brought about by my trauma and that I need to leave. We have two kids, and I'm having a really hard time accepting that I need to go. I travel for work, so I get that practically speaking it makes sense for me to be the one to move out, but it feels rather unfair.
I am worried that being on my own will cause more regressions. More time to think. Less distractions. Has anyone with PTSD or CPTSD been through a marital breakdown and did it make your regressions worse? What did you do to get through it? I haven't moved out yet, but I can honestly say that I'm scared, and I could use some advice on how to cope better. I am in therapy, but that doesn't help me when I am alone. What to do?
Thank you for any suggestions.

@rdpca1 It's funny you should mention that. I have a health club membership which I haven't used in forever. I was thinking of maybe starting yoga over there, or dropping it and doing kickboxing. I shall ponder… Yoga is supposed to be as effective as meds in treating PTSD. I appreciate the reminder. I'll look into it. Thanks!

@Codsworth Just wanted to let you know I checked out Meetup. It looks great! Once I move out I'm going to try and get brave and get out there. At least once.
