My husband is a narcissist. I just caught him out in a year

My husband is a narcissist. I just caught him out in a year long affair. Sadly I fought him first a year ago but gave him a second chance because I loved him and didn’t want our son to feel the pain of his parents divorcing.

I fought my husband by recording his and her conversation in the home office.

I kicked him out but since he has come to me crying and begging for forgiveness again and singing from the exact same hymn sheet that he did last time as though everything he is saying is new. His reason this time second time around is that after the first time he cheated with her he felt he couldn’t talk to me about how he has been feeling ( nothing about not loving me or not wanting to be with me). He hasn’t even actually told me how he has been feeling still just that the fact he felt he couldn’t talk to me about what he had done drove him to get back in contact with the girl again and have sex with her again. I had given him many chances to try to rebuild our marriage but after 3 months back together he didn’t want to talk about his affair anymore, rather wanted to in his words move forward together.

He tells me he is deeply attracted to me and I’m his world that he will fight for us and do whatever he has to for however long it takes to ‘fix’ us

He has totally disregarded the fact I keep telling him I don’t love him anymore and I want a divorce. He won’t accept it

I see him in an entirely different light now. He keeps turning up with food, coffee and silly token gifts like he’s a teenager. It’s very strange

When it comes to narcs and their constant lies, it's not a matter of mistakes and forgiveness anymore....goes much deeper. You are so wise to see it. Once you "see" them, you can never UNsee them. When you get more time and distance from him, you will see him much, much clearer and it won't be pretty. Avoid him as much as possible and avoid being alone with him. They are so full of lies and sins but zero responsibility for it.

@kelly72 So right my friend Kelly. They lie all the time, like the old saying.....they're lips are moving - Yep they're lying. They "think" they are slick and nobody will ever know, but we do know, we do find out. And for the record KnightII123 - they are ALWAYS very strange in their tactics.
