Hi All,
Its been a while since I've posted on here I used to be TravelGal...
I'm in a quandary its been over 2 years since I have separated from my Narc. We have gone back and forth with massive bouts of silence from him. I finally gave up and decided he would never change and I had to let go. I decided at Christmas to go back online to start getting back out there , I've met a lovely guy, very early days. My Narc was back in the area last weekend and ask to meet for lunch I told him no, and that I was moving on and starting to date again... This caused massive rage, and some truths to come out about drug use and drinking, and how he cannot cope... I really don't know what to do as I feel guilt ridden for both him and the new guy I have been on a couple of dates with. I don't want the N back but I also find it very hard to be mean to him and do see him as a troubled sole! has anyone been here ? what did you do? How do you manage it?

I know. I hate to say it but I truly feel sorry for the narc I was with. Good grief. What happened to them. It's so sad to think someone can never feel love:(

@allie lee I agree....it's been four and half years for me almost of the manipulation and guilt.

@washedout Narcs are master manipulators. They play on your emotions, especially your empathy, which they have none of. The only way to continue moving on is no contact with narc.
