Jun 15@andine. I know he is really damaged goods and will never change. He does have an idea that there is something wrong with him. His mother took him to a psychiatrist as a teenager and he has mentioned going. I don't even know why I'm explaining that because it makes no difference. I just wonder if I could be a guitar partner, and call him on his s*** every time he does or says something. I've already started doing that and I haven't talked to him that much I don't answer the phone every time he calls. He just fills that loneliness that hits me in the evenings and we talk about the day's news and music. I've decided romance is off the table. It's really hard to find someone to play the guitar with around here I haven't found anyone in years.... But there's so much bad stuff there about him isn't there it's going to affect me somehow especially with my BPD reactions that he triggers. If I sound confused that's because I am. I appreciate the input I've gotten here I need to go through this thread and read it again.

Jun 16Be careful, even narc friendships rarely if ever work, dynamics remain the same. They eventually lash out because you are too close.
