I've recently returned to work after a long period of sickne

I've recently returned to work after a long period of sickness due to chronic migraines and after only being back one full week I'm off sick again today. I feel so down and useless aand feel stuck in a cycle of stress and migraines which cause stress which causes migraines. Does anyone else feel this guilt and feelngs of uselessness? Any tips on how to break the cycle?

Hi, Shelly8! I completely understand how you feel! I just read this on another site:
I'm new to this group. I just got past (I hope) a migraine which started Dec 26. I've had them since I was 12 but never one for this long. My doctor prescribed prednisone to stop it saying it was caused by overuse of ibuprophen. She gave me something for nausea. Today as I came "out of the woods" I initially felt great but as it got later I began to feel as you do. The best things for me are meditation, watching a funny show, talking with someone, sometimes, just anyone to get me out of my head. I hope you feel better soon!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's nice to know you're not alone in the battle. I hope you feel better too and keep finding things to make you smile. A sense of humour seems to be essential with these things!
