Hi Everyone,

I am new to the site. Menopause...what can I say? It's spinning my life out of control and ruining my marriage. And I feel so alone all of the time. My husband is a good guy but he doesn't understand. I'm always crying, snapping, complaining. Can't stand myself most days. Have a lot of thoughts of hurting myself to make it stop, but I don't want to die. I just want to feel normal instead of like a psycho on a rollercoaster.

Hello and welcome to the group! I'm glad you found us! Going thru menopause alone or around ppl who don't understand what we are going thru is very difficult and support gojng thru this is going to be very important!
I have been in perimenopause error a little more than 10 years now...my symptoms became their worsepst 6 years ago and I was riddled with debilitating anxiety, crazy all over the place cycles, terrible PMS that lasted the whole week beofre my cycle would begin (And last for 2 to 3 weeks , just to skip one the next month). I began having terrible tinnitus, horrible crying dirpts, feelings of worthlessness and despair the likes I'd never even imagined. I was able to get control of these symptoms with some good natural supplements, daily exercise and and natural progesterone cream.
Some of the reason that our symptoms get so out of control is the chemical estrogen in our daily health and beauty aid products and household cleaning products. Google how to limit your chemcial estrogen exposure...once you reduce your exposure things will calm down. I made simple change from gel type hand soaps to foaming hand soaps and noticed less irritability and anger issues and hot flashes. It's the preservative BHT in products that are massive hormone disruptors. BPA also responsible for disrupting our hormones and plastic should not be used in the microwave or the freezer.
I hope this helps and if you 2ould like some more info on the supplements i use, just let me know. Magnesium oil has ended my anxiety!
Hope you stop in often for support!

It's definitely not easy dealing with life when you feel like your body is fighting against you! I agree with Mechele above about finding some natural supplements and especially about spending some time outdoors. Just a short walk can really help sometimes. Do a little research about things that can cause problems. Mechele mentioned a few, but there are other offenders like soy, which is in so many things from foods to beauty products. I would also suggest writing in a journal. I've done that for years and it has made such a difference in my life. As I'm putting things down on paper, it's like I'm laying them down. Getting the thoughts out of my head lets me look at them in a new way. I don't know if you belong to a local church, but it also helps to get support from other women who are going through similar issues. I certainly wish you the best...and your husband, too!
