So Lonely

I just moved to a new state, to live with my cousin and her husband, and to be a live in nanny for their baby boy.

I really love where I live, and I am meeting a lot of new people, but I just feel like I'm never going to make friends. I have met a few of my cousin's friends, who are really great, but I feel like every time they ask me to hang out, it is because she pushes me on them. Not only is it embarrassing, but it just makes me feel like such a loser.

I have never had trouble making friends before. In college, I was surrounded by great friends almost every day. But here, I spend most of my time with a 5 month old, who I love dearly, but who doesn't provide much company!

I don't really know what the point of this is, I guess I just needed to vent.

Does anyone have any similar experiences, or better yet, ideas on how I can get involved in my community?

I'm not sure this is the best of ideas, but some of the best people I've met are those from AA meetings. xD I recently lost all my friends after getting out of jail and moved back in with my folks and my mom actually called one of my friends from 7 years ago and had him come hang out with me. Felt like a play date. lol and he's a priest now. I called him padre xD
