@Faithx7 Not sure. I'm an old soul. But on paper i'm 21. But I read a lot. I grew up on old books and music, old shows. I'm druid in religion, so I read a lot of occult writers. Crowley had a lot of fictional works as well as occult. But most people only look at the surface of his work. I have one book called The Drug, which is a collection of his short stories.

@Skykitten Yeah,I'm a old soul myself . Not at all contemporary!.......nor do I want to be! Most of what I read is old ;whether verse or pros ,fiction or non!. I do study philosophy/theosophy ,practice n study Chinese medicine (the Chinese classics of herbal med.are all quite old)....and nutrition in general(that of course would be contemporary! As far as "dark writers".... for lack of a better word ,Sylvia Plath;Arthur Rimbaud and im a Kafka nut!....read every word he wrote except for " letters to Malina "......never got around to that! I also fell in love with Vincent van Gogh...not just his art but his letters to Theo, his brother.....three volumes ,a dictionary thick each,of exquisite ,expository writing!.......poignant,visceral,romantic,extremely articulate and knowledgeable in a multitude of subjects.....truly his unknown " other virtuosity"......."most people read books for the all the usual reasons, but when I read a book ,I look for the man who wrote it!". Vincent.
