I have been told by family to be careful with my friendships

[17520]

I have been told by family to be careful with my friendships, but I'm an adult and I have been raised right. It's hard as it is being an empath in my relationships since I feel every little thing so deeply. My closest friends are those who don't live in my state. It has been difficult maintaining contact with people. So aside from my physical pain, this hurts as well not having verbal conversations with others.

Yes, it is different with long distance than with being ever present or close by.

Sorry to hear of the pain that you are feeling. I can understand feeling things deeply, as I tend to exist in that realm myself. God has definitely made us to be in relationships with other people, and it can be hard when distance (or social distancing) separate us. I am sure that your family wants to protect you from being hurt. I hope that you will be able to write, message, or video chat with family or friends this week.
