My insecurities are at it again. My husband is going just no

My insecurities are at it again. My husband is going just now to 2 customers on the same street , both of them about 5 to 10 minutes from the OW. On Sunday he told me he doesn't even think about her, she is non existent to him and he doesn't want to see her ever, not in this lifetime and not in his next.He said I'm the one who keeps bringing her up. So why am I still worried? Of course I didn't say anything for fear of reminding him of her, but I feel terrible with anxiety.

It sounds like your husband is doing everything to reassure you, that is good. But you have been traumatized and it will take time to work thru this. Try and think of other things when you are getting a trigger. Sometimes it helps me to focus on something else. If my husband responds with apologies I calm down if he does not I snap. But I always try to let him try first before I react. He has learned after this last time to react in kind instead of ignoring me. Maybe just say you are having a trigger and let him comfort and reassure you, if he does not then you can react, that might help you.

@Floored I try to think of something else but it doesn't always work. Today i kept remembering what he said about her and that helped, and writing it here also helped.

@Merphurts I know it sounds good on paper huh! :) I still think about what he did and that is what makes me mad. The ow does not trigger me at all but she does not live in our state either, I can see how that would be hard.
