My husband says he loves me, wants our marriage to work and talks about our future, yet won't give up any privacy over his phone (which he used to cheat on me with for a year). How can he say he wants our marriage to work, but wont explain something I saw him writing on his phone....?

Jun 7love is an action word..sometimes we know and see the flags but due to the love we have for them we blind ourselves from what the truth may be.

Jun 7@broken2021 only you can know.. you can listen to advice but only you know what you will and wont take. I left my husband 6 months ago and I love him dearly but could not continue to take the lies and cheating, putting my health at risk and the constant fighting. It was toxic.. I saw these things just let the words out of his mouth soothe the uneasiness and confirmations of the lies. His actions showed me that he didnt love me or didnt know how to show me but his refusal to go to counseling to work on it showed me that we did not want the same thing. It still hurts at times that the man I thought I would spend forever with is not the same person or only wanted a season with his family.. I continue to pray that if it is Gods will that he changes and do whats right but I cant keep beating myself up over a failed marriage that included multiple women. Just pray on it and ask God to open your eyes to see where he wants you to go. I loved my husband more than I loved myself to let him continue to cheat on me..just food for thought. you are the one that has to live with whatever the outcome you decide.
