How many of you use your intuition when dealing with problem

How many of you use your intuition when dealing with problems in your life? Do even believe in intuition? I feel that if I would have gone with my gut feelings before I found out about my husbands affair I would be so much further along in my recovery. I always felt that things he was telling me didn't add up. It would keep me awake at night. I just couldn't shake this feeling that he was lying to me. But he kept telling me that his job was so stressful and he needed to spend for time working. I fell for it every time he would tell me. I even felt bad for feeling he was lying to me. One day I would believe him then the next day I would think he was lying to me. I think back to that time and I feel like he played me. Oh and he was so good at. During his affair he treated me like I wasn't even there. I can't seem to get over that. To be honest I was thinking of getting out of this marriage before I found out he was cheating. He was a horrible person to be around. When he would leave for business trips I would feel relieved. Little did I know that he was going to be with another woman for a week at a time. Today my gut feelings seem to control my life. It is a feeling I can not shake. I feel I missed all the red flags during his affair. Maybe I was to trusting maybe I really didn't care I don't know. I always had that nagging feeling. But I do know this I will never ignore my intuition and gut feelings again. It was my gut feeling that led me to pin him down and get him to spill all the details of his affair. I still am shocked 6 months later how spot on I was about things I chose to sweep under the rug. If your gut is telling you something don't ignore it like I did.

@Kas1966 I took a self defense class offered by the police department for the city I work for and they recommended this book also. It may save your life.
