So I’ve come across information that HPV can still be cleared by the immune system even if you’ve suffered from symptoms in the past. I was under the impression it could only be cleared if never having symptoms. Im going to concentrate on improving my immune system and life style in hope of being rid of this thing in the next few years. I’m trying to think positive now as I feel there may possibly be some light at the end of the tunnel! I’m going to ask to speak to someone who can answer all of my questions at my next clinic appointment. Hope you all have a positive day

I’m only 24, most girls in my school got the HPV vaccine when we were around 13 but I didn’t have mine. I was feeling positive until today but it seems to have got worse. I have a clinic appointment on Friday and I’ve written a lot of questions down to ask. Has anyone on here ever got rid of the virus or know anyone that has? I hope so. I didn’t realise how lucky I was before. It’s the worst not being in control of your own body. Thank you guys. Hope you’re all feeling okay x

@Brit12347 From my understanding, there is no cure for HPV, once you get it it stays on your body. I know that you get infections from it and those can go away and the hpv can become dormant. The reason why hpv infections happen is if your immune system becomes weak. I hope your doctor can better answer your questions. :)

I’ve read a couple of things online that state there’s no cure but it’s possible for your immune system to get rid of the virus over time. I hope it’s true anyway it’s the only thing keeping me sane at the moment haha. I’ll ask today x
