Hey all! Are oral warts in back of the throat the cancer

Hey all!

Are oral warts in back of the throat the cancer causing ones?

Mar 13, 2018

Oral warts are caused by the same strains of HPV that cause genital warts (almost always types 6 and 11), which are known as "low-risk" strains because they tend not to progress to cancer. Chances are the warts are only a temporary inconvenience and will remain harmless during their natural course. You can further reduce the risk of them turning into cancer by adapting a healthy lifestyle. Like most HPV infections, it will most likely just simply go away in a few months - a couple of years.

I have genital warts a year now. Keep popping up. But today I looked in my throat and saw a few flat raised bumps I’ve never seen.

I’m cool with getting them removed but, terrified it’s high risk strain?
