This is my first time on here. Someone I was dating for a couple of years gave me herpes. We broke up several times the 6 yrs we were together. In between break ups, whenever I met someone and the relationship got to a point where he wanted to have sex, I would explain my problem. Of course they all ran. Doesn't anyone believe in safe sex? So of course I went back to my ex. This time, were over. I met a really nice guy three months ago and now he's talking about having sex. I'm not sure if I could handle being rejected? Three years ago, I almost commited suicide. No I won't do it. I'm at a point where I'm going to tell this guy, to move on and not explain myself. I feel dirty and humiliated.

@RainbowChard what is the "small print" version? I was actually engaging in sexual activity on a day when my Dr.'s office tried to call me a bit late to let me know I was hpv2 positive, if only I had gottn the message or heard my phone ring, so now I feel obligated to tell this guy, and stressing about how to do it.

@CurlyBSue YOU DO KNOW THAT MEN ARE ACUTALLY MORE LIKELY TO BE THE CARRIERS AND SPREAD IT TO WOMEN?? WE ARE JUST MORE EASILY PRONE TO CONTRACTING IT. MEN OFTEN TIMES SHOW NO SYMPTOMS TO ANY STD'S, AND BECAUSE OF THAT THEY FEEL THAT TESTING IS NOT NEEDED. (NOT ALL, BUT MOST)
