It's been about 4 months since I was diagnosed. Most days I'm down, some days I'm up. Overall I'm not the same person before the diagnosis, I feel like I completely lost myself because I was trying so hard not to. Others notice a change but this isn't something I can talk to everyone about. I know healing takes time, I know for myself personally I have a hard time excepting things but I'm ready to feel comfortable with myself again and I don't know how to start.

I know exactly how you feel. I would say it took me about a year to get to a place where I’ve accepted it. Until that stage everyday it was all I thought about. I thought of myself as a ‘giant walking herpe’ and didn’t go near a man really for that year.
Just know that it DOES get easier, you will find ways to cope with it and time is the best healer.
Don’t be hard on yourself, 4 months is still pretty fresh. Don’t push yourself, just take the time you need :)
