It’s been a year since I got herpes. Today for some reason

It’s been a year since I got herpes. Today for some reason I got a random outbreak. I’ve been feeling fluey the past two days and stayed home at the weekend. Now I find 4 painful blisters. Is this just an outbreak of herpes or something more serious? Why would I have painful blisters now after so long? Could it be HIV? Sorry for all the questions I’m freaking out. Ps. I also have a couple sores inside my mouth like canker sores that have been there about 4 days. They’re getting better though.

Hi Crayfish95 no it is not likely to be HIV. That would be very bad luck. It sounds like Herpes. Herpes can change its forms slightly. I had a blister initially during my first 3 outbreaks and the 4th time I had 2 blisters. A bleeding nuisance! They really cramp my style. The fluey symptoms occurred in all my outbreaks. Canker sores happen due to stress, I think and I don't think they are really connected. Have you been feeling run down or stressed recently.

@tidaldave82 Thanks for your response Dave. You're a cool dude and really helpful to everyone on here. Appreciate it.

I have been stressed lately between relationship things and work.
This outbreak is really getting me down physically and mentally. It's really painful. Today I had to come to work and lay down on the bathroom floor to put a voltaren suppository in my butt to relieve the pain.

@Crayfish95 thank you Crayfish95. I haven't been described as a 'Cool dude' in a while... Very 'Bill and Ted'! ;-) Your pain sounds very uncomfortable and I am sorry it is affecting your work. Especially if you need to place a Voltaren Suppository up your butt as well! :-/ I liken the pain as having an illegal rave in my pants... And not being invited!
