Im really feeling scared and discouraged. So I had my first
Im really feeling scared and discouraged. So I had my first outbreak in November November 16 to be exact and it healed completely on the 29th. Me and my boyfriend haven’t been intimate for over a month just because we’re trying to take precaution… today we tried being intimate, and as soon as we tried, I teared in the spot that I previously I had a fairly large sore. Now I am scared that maybe the skin wasn’t fully healed and it was still sensitive. Also, because it teared im afraid now he’s going to get it. This makes me scared to even trying to have sex with him again and I’m worried that it’s going to ruin my relationship.

Dec 22@kayy2729 I know it is hard to be calm with everything being so new but right now you should just be worried about you and your health. If your bf is a keeper then he will stand by your side and wait until you are ready. If he is not caring or patient enough to wait for you to be healed physically and emotionally then he is not worth worrying about. It takes time to adjust and figure things out. Please be kind to yourself and move forward at the pace that is right for you. Good luck

Dec 22kayy First of all, women get it easier than men. Not that it matters; it's just a fact. Do you know for sure he doesn't have it? He should get tested. Then you'll know for sure how to manage the situation. Your skin will heal. You need to educate yourself about HSV. It will help you to feel more in control. You can start by reading the handbook that is available from the link on this site. If your relationship is strong, you should be able to work thru this together. This is a good test to see if he is a quality boyfriend and if you can come together to solve problems. That's the kind of person you want to end up with long term.
