Iam afraid that after revealing that I may have been exposed

Iam afraid that after revealing that I may have been exposed to herpes, what if the person wants to harm me in return ? or post all my business on social media, although I have deactivated all my accounts , iam so afraid the only helpful thing I learned was after revealing it to a close friend crying they revealed to me that they have been going through it too, so is this way more common than I realize?

@Cpx164 you welcome, I think that's the key , don't treat it like it's a big deal & it won't become one because it isn't, if you weren't a responsible person to find out through testing chances are you probably never would've known & still live a regular healthy life

@lisajd a lot of research shows for most asymptomatic people, a break maybe 1 outbreak a year , my bestfriend unveiled she's been had it & told me that it happens less often than people think & sometimes her doctors tells her to stop freaking out about every little bump because most of the time when they test hers it's not even herpes related, I mean if it makes you feel better to disclose with every partner more power to you but I won't , after opening up to my family about it & them going to doctors with me my sister was like " you freaked me out like you were gonna have hiv , after everything they just explained I probably have it too I just don't test for it"

@Awesomesauce if you have more outbreaks then others it's like how some people have more acne outbreaks than others this just happens to be more sexual related , I just seriously don't think it's a big deal in most scenarios as people are making it, I learned in other countries that have better discussions about this, they don't even really understand why it's a huge scare in America , I think we are just badly informed here
