I have been trying to post something since yesterday but it doesn’t show up in the group. Hi, I just found out a couple of days a go that I have Herpes type 2. I never have been a very confident girl and now with this I don’t even know how to live with this, I’m a single mom in my late 20’s and the last time I have sex was a long time a go I don’t even know since when I got hérpes and I just found out. I feel alone I don’t want to talk to my friends or my parents I don’t want them to feel shame of me or to see me like a disappointment. I don’t let myself to feel sad or depress right now because I’m sure that I will never get out of that depress circle and I need to be strong for her. I don’t know how to feel anymore, I don’t think I can date again or be with someone, I’m not going to be able to handle the rejection for having this for life.
I just want to find someone to talk about it, someone that don’t judge me and help me feel better.

Thank you all for your responses you make me feel better for sure! I have been having a Terrible concern if someone can help me I will appreciated. If I have herpes type 2, can I passed to my daughter just if she touch my legs or my tights?? I’m very worried about this! I’m sorry for the silly question, I just don’t know where else in my lower body I have the herpes and I’m scared about this.

Not a silly question. Many Mom's have passedan it on to their new borns during birth.
My suggestion is to do more serious research on this but what I've heard is without a break out there like 8 to 10% chance of passing it through sex and with one like 31%, while having sex with am outbreak. I'm not a Dr but my guess is that the odds are even less that you'd pass it. I believe it's through blood, cells and saliva is how it's passed. You might try the med people mention to help keep the outbreaks and cells down and lower the chances. I think while it might be possible the likelihood is so minimal that she'd be safe but let me repeat, I'm not a Dr. I would research it more. Ask an infectious disease specialist or something like that.
