I am a marijuana smoker (i smoke everyday) and the last time

I am a marijuana smoker (i smoke everyday) and the last time I have experienced an outbreak of HSV-1 was about two years ago. In the past three weeks, I have been experiencing a bit of tingling (maybe every three hours) by tingle, I mean a sort of itch or twitch) in the area where I last had an outbreak. I read that THC supposedly stops the replication of the herpes virus? Does anyone know if herpes can take many weeks to develop or am I just paranoid?
