Hi everyone, I received a swab test result that was negative

Hi everyone, I received a swab test result that was negative for herpes, but I don't have any blisters/lesions so I'm not surprised it has came back negative, but I am still experiencing itching in my groin area which has been nearly 2 weeks and stomach pain, shooting pains in my tailbone, headaches etc for a week now. Just wondering if anyone has had an initial exposure without any lesions but experiencing these other symptoms that I'm having? My doctor gave me a yeast infection pessary for the itchiness but I don't think its helping. Not sure what to do at this point.

Hi, I started having symptoms too but mine were burning and tingling, like you I haven't seen any typical herpes sores. I had a red pimple like bump that was bleeding but that's it so I'm going to do a swab test like you. I did a blood test that came back negative so I feel you on this one. Idk how long you can go feeling symptoms without seeing any actual sores. In your case you may have a yeast infection, I think our minds go in the worst case scenario, maybe get a blood test too. Make sure to ask for a IGG test, I heard that's the best and to do it 12-16 weeks from exposure.

Yeah I'm definitely getting a blood test then, I've had yeast infections before but never had itchiness on the groin lasting for 2 weeks! Earlier I noticed a small red bump on my inner thigh but don't know if thats related to it will wait and see what happens with it. Ive had these flu symptoms and stomach cramps for a week now but slowly going away I think.
