I lost my partner 9 months ago to a sudden heart attack. He was healthy and active there were no warning signs. My life is shattered. I don't know where to even start.

I'm sorry to hear about it, where to start! Start by talking to a friend, family, and us about him, about yourself, your kids, etc. It'll easy the lump in your throat. Once your sufficiently healed then it be time to think about it who would be best to become your next husband. Don't rush things, and let things out, and stay strong, because your loved by many. You may not thing someone will understand how you feel but on here you'll find many who will understand, and share their stories with you.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. It means a lot. As for the new husband thing..... I dont know about that. I havent dated in over 15 years and years and I have 2 kids and a lot of emotional baggage. Cant see why anyone would want to take that on.

There are many state social service groups that can help you get your life in order. Make sure you have medical insurance for you and the kids, they will help you find food sources if you need it to take care of the family. Maybe find a group you can talk with. Try to teach yourself to be strong. We push forward, for ourselves!
