Hey guys! I'm a 20 year old ****. I've been out five years and been presenting hyper-masculinely for about three of them. Since cutting my hair off alone, I have been the victim of about a dozen hate-crimes which seem to be largely based around my gender presentation. Because of this, I have been having a haard time leaving my house besides for work and work only. I am fortunate enough to live with a partner who LOVES running errands, so I have all my needs met on the most basic level, but I'm starting to panic every time I'm in public, Does anyone else experience this? I'm looking for support and maybe some guidance in this. I'm starting to feel scared that I'll stop leaving the house and I don't know how to manage this. I also posted something similar in the agoraphobia group on here, but I'm really needing and craving empathetic queer perpective on this

Considering your personal safety is paramount, but let's face it, hiding in your home isn't healthy. Are these attacks physical or verbal, can you carry mace or something else to protect your person, is moving to a more accepting area an option? We don't really know your situation so everything is speculation. Were you agoraphobic prior to these attacks? I ask because you mention Pride and not going, so this seems to have a larger component as Pride is generally a very safe place for us LGBTQ+ folks. In any event, you've identified this as a problem and you can start working on it, you have our support, keep posting! Maybe commune with nature more regularly; keep posting
