I have been trying to figure out how to tell if I am married

[3060]

I have been trying to figure out how to tell if I am married to a man who is emotionally abusive. I was told once that I might be, but I don't know the signs. Could some one tell me if they know..I have searched through many books on emotional abuse, but they don't tell you the signs.

hey, hope to explain to you well. This is like a sexual and physical abuse. This makes your relationship so weak. One who becomes a victim of it can’t live happily. Others may also get annoyed due to his attitude. Some sign that I know is: you prefer to walk on eggshell to avoid rude behavior of your partner. Victim of it uses a gas lighting. This is because of overlapping your partner in the relationship. Your partner frequently makes hurtful jokes about your personality. You find yourself apologizing even when you know that you did nothing wrong to your partner. Your partner becomes hot and cold most of the time. your partner doesn’t agree on your points. He always considers you less than his strength. These are signs that I know. Best of luck with your searching.

@Traveler24C I just want to let you know that am not in any danger, but there are times when I feel trapped, but it's due to suffering with agoraphobia and it isn't about him. I am thinking of seeing a counselor again to discuss my situation with. I do think that my husband is emotionally abusive, because he often criticizes me for the things I don't do, but when I do the things am suppose to do he never gives me any credit for doing them. He doesn't understand that I have a difficult time with doing somethings .

@kili123 I looked up gaslighting and my husband sometimes makes hurtful jokes about my personality and he usually doesn't agree on my points.
