@MTlost You're very welcome!... I'm terribly sorry to hear about the tragedy of your mother's death. I know a trauma of that magnitude would have life-long effects. It's often the most painful and traumatic events that lead us to therapy -- where we can work through the pain and grief, and eventually come out the other side transformed in some way. The purpose of therapy is to learn about and understand ourselves. We need to uncover the core issues and motivators of our behaviors. Otherwise we're led blindly through life, without knowing or understanding why we do the things we do. We need to control our behavior, and therefore our lives -- rather than the other way around. No one wants to leave this world with unfinished emotional business. This is why it's so important to make peace with those we love and care about -- while they're still here.....

@pickone I couldn't agree more. I look at my life as a clean slate. No matter what I've gone through, I've always found a few lessons. Working on myself is my main focus. I can give myself a better life by learning to love my whole self. Work on the things I need to fix about me, and go from there.
