Learn to be confident when you cut your contact off your narc brother.

@PeppermintSunrise - I really suggest you read Susan Forward's Emotional Blackmail. It's available on OpenLibrary.org if you can't buy it. You should read - make the time to help yourself gain some strategies and help yourself get out of that FOG (Fear, Obligation, Guilt). If you think it takes too much time to read, then maybe, at least, research FOG psychology. It might give you some strategies, gain some confidence like KidDJ suggested so you can go NC because you really need to make the change yourself for yourself and focus less on them. I wish I could give you some special trick to do it quickly, but even if you go NC, there is still so much going on within oneself psychologically.......so much **** trauma that it can keep us cycling in confusion. give it a shot - it won't be time wasted, on the contrary, it might help you find that strategy to pull away from all your toxic family. I wish you all the best. I haven't gone NC., but this book has helped me a lot while I live w/my narc mother - it's helped me get better at grey rock and I'm working VERY HARD at my own independence as well - It's helped me have faith in me, even if it takes me some time, I will make it happen. I wish you all the best. Take care Peppermint.
