The grieving process is very annoying. It is going to make me go through it whether I want to or not. The other day at work I was handed official notification that I was in close contact with a co-worker who tested positive for Covid. This is worrisome for me as my doctor has told me to be very careful because he doesn't think my heart is strong enough to survive being very ill. I have been put into quarantine.

I made sure to type up a letter for my Medical POA, and I pulled out my will and medical paperwork, and I have gotten everything as ready for her as I can... just in case.

I also ordered Gatorade, soup, tea, and tissues, from the grocery store... just in case I do get sick.
These type of preparations make me realize how alone I am. I was feeling very low.

I'm not really sure how to count the days. Do I start counting from the day I was first near her at work, or do I count from the day that she tested positive? If I can get to day 5 without getting sick, does that mean my risk of getting it is small? The nights have been long with lots of unhappy thoughts about the marriage, the divorce, Covid, the stress of buying a house, loneliness and worry.

The Ex really isn't worth another thought. Go away Grief Monster.
