My wife initially wanted a divorce but now we will try separation. She wants it to be no limitations and wants to see other people. I don't want to see other people. She wants me to move out. We have 2 young kids. I do pick up and drop off for school and spend more time with them during the week because of her work schedule. Does it make more sense for her to move out? It would be less disruptive for kids plus she's the one that wants space to see other people. I know usually the husband moves out. Thoughts?

Must be something in the water:) I am just joking, but my ex act similar like your wife. We divorced 3 months ago and she start dating right a way. And our daughter needs her, but she is dating guy who is 21 years older than her. She told me I have to move out but I don't feel like her. I think it is new trend. And by the way, you can't stop her after divorce:((

Hey, Dwood. Honestly, I don't think it matters if it is the man or woman who moves out as in today's society, women have nearly the same access to education and employment opportunities as the men (there is the wage gap but this is not the forum for that type of discussion). I think the person who is changing the relationship should be the one to move. Why should you move? You are not asking for the change. My ex husband moved out on the sly to live with his ex girlfriend while we were still married but he's a big lying dirt bag so what ever. Anyhow, it was a non-issue for me. I would calmly explain to her you do not want the divorce or separation, you are not interested in pursuing other relationships and aren't going any where. Explain you will help her back her little bags if she would like and wish her the best of luck.
