My goodness, guys, the cost to move ones household is absolutely staggering. I could use that much to buy a down on a house, get another used car, or all new furniture. Do any of you have horror stories you'd like to share about your over paying movers when they charged you more than you thought they would? Stories of your stuff being stolen or broken by movers? Stories of your losing an heirloom in a move or maybe having your clothes lost? Stories about how you got rid of every bit of furniture and went with the clothes on your back and started from scratch?

@eternal69eclipse, mmhm. I couldn't agree more. It's all around me. My neighbors are selling their houses. The people in the inner cities are moving inland where I live, so houses are going up in value here. I'm sure that won't last though, once the economy tanks.
