Good morning all I'm trying to get back 100% what I lost meaning my oldest daughter is struggling with finding her own Identity. She shows positive things then she steps backward. Honestly it seems that I'm being to nice I think ???? as for my wife she is trying but its not what are kids want it the way she tries. I do I correct all the loose ends here also my wife mom and sister is playing games with my kids like taking them out to lunch for there birthday but don't Invite there mom?? I know its because I moved back in and they hate that but I really want to tell my oldest kids look if your grandma and auntie can't respect your parents then don't talk to them

@andine yes but my kids have outside influences and that’s the problem

Raising children can be a delicate balancing act. Sometimes being a consistent role model is the best we can do. If we are overly restrictive they will rebel.

@andine Who cares what the families think. What is important is you and your family. If things are feeling like they are in a good place, then just take the time to appreciate it and foster it. There is no right way to navigate divorce (or almost divorce). Maybe this is reconciliation, or maybe its just a delay, but if your immediate family is doing OK with the current circumstances and nobody is manipulating or taking advantage of the other, then let it be for awhile. There is no rush to make any final decisions.
