I just started a new job a week ago and heavily contemplating whether I should return back to my old job. The stress level of the new job is a lot. Before work am constantly anxious and scared of what the new work day is going to bring. I don’t know what to do and I don’t want to make the wrong choice.

Yeah, welcome aboard. I agree with NCMom, try and stay focused on the big picture. What was your goal for taking this on-short term & long term? If it was to find something less stressful, maybe pull the ripcord a little early. If it was to earn a higher salary, then maybe give it some time to get your legs under you and then reevaluate if it's worth the money. Hang in there.

Change brings stress. I changed jobs about 7 months ago I was terrified. It was hard to walk into, but now I see the best decision of my life.

Thanks y’all. The position is ok it’s just that I think I need to work a much slower shift. I chose a morning shift to work and I think it’s too fast for me. On top of that, am taking a pay cut. This position is not any less stressful as my last. It’s not as physically challenging as my last position though. I could transfer back to my old position and go back to the drawing board in terms of picking up a later shift but, it’s a gamble.
