So I told my husband today about my bulimia. I didn’t expect his reaction. Was awful he was so mad and yelling at me. I don’t think he will be with me any longer. This just make everything worse I just want to give up.

I told my husband about my bulimia after 2 years of getting married. I don't even know how I managed to hide it so well. I felt so ashamed to tell him. I honestly thought I would stop "tomorrow after this one last time". I told him when I realized that I can't stop and I am very screwed. He wasn't very helpful. He became overly controlling and weird about it. I was mad at him first. But then I realized that he can't really understand it and it's fine. Only those who struggle with it can relate and be supportive. It's hard to support a person when you don't understand what is that exactly the person is dealing with.

@lagorda I think most people have this perception that bulimia is a choice. It’s not for me I ant to stop but when I’m very stress is hard not to go back to the toxic cycle. My husband is more supportive now after a conversation /arguing he is reading and he join a blog similar to this one but for people that have love ones with bulimia. I agree with you only people like us that struggle every day to accomplish the goal of not binge and purge understand what we going through. I hope your situation in your home is improving and I’m here in case that you want to talk. Thank you for the support
