What recovery? What cure? It will be manageable they said! Its been two years of therapy and medication and I still continue to struggle. This is not a life worth living, no it's not! I resent myself and everything around me. How long can I go on??

Nov 27It took me a long time to believe that it would get better. It has NOT, yet, but I know it's going to be. I was the biggest disbeliever out there and some days, I still am. It takes time. You will find the right balance of medication and therapy and along the way, you will build your tool kit of self-care and ways to manage life. I believe in you.

Nov 29Sorry I didn't see this response before, @psyche_ It took years to become ill and it will take years to recover, realistically, with lots of trial and error along the way. Finding at least one person who validates your experience while also supporting your recovery is one of the most important things to recovery, at least in my experience. And even more important than that, I think, is learning to validate your own experience, and to be kind and compassionate with yourself in as many ways as possible. The world is a lot less harsh when we learn to treat ourselves with care and kindness. Hope you're feeling a bit better than when you initially posted. <3

Dec 2This is very kind of you to say all these things. But more often than not, I feel disheartened and alone.
