I've just finished reading a book Beyond Borderline:True stories of recovery from borderline personality disorder by Perry Hoffman and John Gunderson. It contained 24 stories and personal accounts from suffers. It was a good book and I could relate to all of the stories and issues contained therein. However I felt it was a missed opportunity in the sense that it was mostly functional examples of the disease rather than containing a balance of non-functioning examples. So although it was good I couldn't see the exact me in there but I think its the first of its kind and hopefully there will be another.A lot of the people had jobs or jumped from job to job and were eventually able to take on extra stuff like relationships. And their professions were high end as were their qualifications. My qualifications are high university level but I'm non functioning hence the slight disappointment with the book.Would like to hear if anybody here has read it and your opinion.

Hi. I have not read that book but this one "This is Not the End: Conversations on Borderline Personality Disorder" is also a testimonial book and is fantastic. Check it out.
