Had another volatile argument with my partner this morning. It happens often, and it's because of long standing problems and hurt on both sides. I'm reactionary, she's not. And my reactions get so intense, then reside, then get intense, then reside. And in the meantime, I'm going out of my mind. And alone. I can't reach out to her for support because she rarely understands me. And even if she could, there's so much hurt that she has to deal with that first. It's a mess. I'm a mess.

Arguing is so stressful. Are you able to communicate with each other without arguing about everything else? I don't remember if you said you were in therapy or not, but that would help with this sort of thing. We need to learn how to be assertive without being aggressive and also ask for what we need, among other Interpersonal Effectiveness skills. How are you today?
