Face Masks, School and Mental Health

Before COVID-19 was a part of our everyday life, “wearing a mask” was a term in the mental health community regarding someone being fake, putting on a good show while internally not doing well or being dishonest.  Now, it is a necessary tool to keep ourselves and others safe from Covid and it is hard to remember what it was like not to wear it everytime we leave the house.  We now have amassed a nice array of colors and styles and they all reside in the tray of our car’s console.  They make regular trips to the washing machine and then get marched right back to their spot so

Powerful Words

In life there are some pretty powerful words that once uttered will stay with us forever, here are just a few:
  • Your baby is healthy
  • You have Cancer
  • I’m Sorry
  • Will you Marry Me?

  • I regret to inform you…

2021 Olympics

Even for the most unathletic among us, the Olympics is a must watch event.  It features the very best athletes from 206 nations, with an amazing 11,238 athletes competing.  With COVID still raging, it seems miraculous that the games will actually happen and for a few days' time, we get to marvel at the very best athletes the world has to offer competing in 33 sports and 46 disciplines.

Suffering from Burnout

Sometimes life is fantastic.  It feels as if you won the lottery, everything is going great, your meals are well planned and taste delicious, you are on top of all your chores, work and life balance is smack dab in the middle, bluebirds are singing, your coffee was strong and hot this morning and the sun is shining bright!  It feels like you are killing this life thing!  Your mantra is: Bring it on Life, Thank you Universe!  You go to sleep with a smile on your face and you wake up with it still on.  Life is good!
