You know it never occurred to me that I'd be thinking about this. However, if one day I happen to be in a relationship, I don't think I would know how to break the truth to the person I am with. A lot of people become intimidated when they hear the word bipolar or any time of mood disorder. I know I should probably wait until I have to cross that bridge, but is that something that one could keep to themselves or it's better to be honest about it? I am a very honest person, but would this information be necessary?

that's up to you, but I think its definitely not first date conversation, yknow? wait until trust is built, and they see how you are

@norseduncan No, definitely it isn't something I would divulge on a first date. I am talking, once a relationship is established and has been going on for a good amount of time. I get it that it's up to me, but I was wondering how someone else's experience has been regarding this matter.

Hi! In my oppinion it's something you definitely should talk about once you're in a relationship. I was super scared when I told my boyfriend, I thought he is the type of person who wouldn't understand and wouldn't cope with it. 3 years later he is my biggest rock and the person who really helps me get through the day and has been really supportive with all of my mental issues. I can't imagine now not telling him, it's a huge part of who I am.
