I'm wondering what other night owls have to say about why they prefer the night, aside from a generalized sense of well being. What is it about the nighttime that puts us in a much better mood than in the daytime ?

For me it is the darkness and that means to me relationship can't explain why. I do feel more relaxed and less stressed at night maybe because I don't have to do anything no obligations or chores. xo

During the day my life can be overwhelming. Bipolar mood swings make everything an uncertain choice. I dislike making plans because when the time comes to do whatever it is my mood might have changed and then I don't want to do it. Simply needing to deal with people can be exhausting in an emotional way since a lot of the time I'm pretending to be in a good mood when in reality I'm not. At night people are not around, they're sleeping ( or whatever ) and not needing my attention. The stores are closed. I feel safe within the darkness. My mood goes into an even place. I'll watch a movie on my laptop and escape even further.
