A question for the group... what is your biggest challenge day to day living with bipolar? Mine is insomnia. If I have too many sleepless nights, I get manic in a really bad way. Adequate sleep is my number 1 priority to stay healthy, and that's not easy for me. I'm curious about what challenges other people the most, if anyone feels like sharing.

May 28@afunk I've had Insomnia since I was 13yrs old. I can't function on no sleep now at 33 like I could back then. I NEED my sleep. N it's only getting more impossible lately.

May 29@Unnamed19s I totally relate! I was also able to handle it better when I was young. I don't when it changed, but I need my sleep now too. 4 hours or less and I don't even want to leave the house because I feel so messed up. If it's two nights in a row I have to raise my medication so I don't risk mania, but the med makes me gain weight and I hate it. Last night for example, wide awake at 4:00am. It really is my biggest challenge, and I really thought I was the only one. Thanks again for sharing.
