[160]

I almost got through all of today without binging, and then my roommate asked me to go with her to the store to get a bunch of snacks, and so of course I said yes and bought a bunch of food. I ate mozzarella sticks, easy Mac, and Oreos, and now I'm sitting here hating myself and feeling like I want to keep eating more and more and more. I hate it. I was doing so well, eating small snacks all day to avoid getting really hungry and I thought maybe today I wouldn't binge, but no. Also, I had one of the hardest workouts of my life at practice today, so I'm feeling frustrated and discouraged in a lot of ways.

I find if i don't start eating in the first place then im ok it's after I let myself get one thing to eat then I don't want to stop. Sometimes i think I convince myself I will feel better if I binge because my brain has been so use to the binging as a soothing method just like smoking. We know it isn't healthy but we keep doing it. We have to retrain our thinking and find something else positive to replace it so maybe journaling or reading something we enjoy. It's really hard I know, but we can keep picking ourselves back up.

That's it! Exactly! .. And even if you do slip ..It's not often. It's less and less... Because you think differently.. It's as automatic to not do it as it is to do it.

I know exactly how you feel. That can be very discouraging BUT it is ok. You can start fresh the next day. Drink lots and lots of water to help flush your system. I have switched to Intermittent fasting and I started binging when I first started. Its a process but you will get through it. I am here if you need to talk. Be patient with yourself.
