★Pitfalls of weight management★(Dr.Phil)

● Self-Sabotage Masquerading as Celebration - ex. I worked so hard, now let's go out and celebrate.

●"Fixed Fat" Beliefs -ex. Believing you can't do it, this works for other people but not me.

●Failure to Self Monitor-ex. Not paying attention to what you are doing

●Acute Stress or Crisis -ex. Thinking if we are in some crisis, all rules are suspended

●Stealthy Saboteurs-ex. People who'd rather you go eat a pizza with them, then they don't feel so bad if you are doing it with them

Well that pretty much sums it up for me...LOL...

Except one more thing. I know I need that one person who I can work with like a personal trainer who will keep me going when it comes to long-term success. So I plan to get one.

Which one of these do you relate to the most? For me I would say number 3. It takes a lot of discipline for me to pay attention to what I'm doing 24/7. I tend to daydream and drift off. I got to pay attention Yo!

I feel like.... maybe the acute stress one is kind of dismissive....

My boyfriend has been going through a lot of stress and trauma these past few months... I'm happy when he just eats.... we do really good when we can but there are days when he's stressed the heck out and binges (it's not excessive) and I have to sit there and tell him that it's okay... I get him to exercise to feel better about eating and tell him it's okay to stress eat occasionally when his anxiety gets out of control. I don't feel that's wrong when someone is barely keeping it together like that.

I do know if I should post it here. I have binge eating disorder and i try intuitive eating method.I have a meal plan of 1200cal that I try in vain to follow. I eat too much carbs. Yesterday it was a bad day with my long distance nd, I Binged a lot in cake and bread. I got two kilos so far instead of losing. We 'll see.

@Sarah_Ann_Grant when I listen to anyone's teachings, I always remember to adjust to my situation. Keeping in context. Everyone is unique.
