Anyone have parents who ignored or downplayed their kid's autism? My mother never really acknowledged in a kind and understanding way what I needed; she, especially more over time, took more of a colorblind stance.
I never heard outright what my father's view of my autism was, yet something my mother said months ago indicated he didn't really believe autism was an issue or real in effect. People like this are jerks.

I am sorry that your parents either weren't able to or just chose not to be supportive of you and your needs. Parents should be your biggest cheerleaders and supporters. Really sad and I totally understand how that feels to be let down.

How are you doing today?

@heartforhelping Thank you, I just really understand how it is to be let down epically by parents.

Where do calls go?

Calls to numbers on a specific treatment center listing will be routed to that treatment center. Additional calls will also be forwarded and returned by a quality treatment center within the USA.

Calls to any general helpline (non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) for your visit will be answered by a licensed drug and alcohol rehab facility, a paid advertiser on SupportGroups.com.

All calls are private and confidential.
