Hi I'm a 17 year old girl who's just been diagnosed with severe arthritis after a year of not knowing what was wrong, ever since it all started I've been extremely frustrated and depressed no one understands me feels as if I'm alone because no one around me understands completely, I've lost out on doing so many things for the last year of my life even simple little things with my friends I haven't been able to get out of the bed for a few days on end with the pain, I'm just feeling so low in myself that I've no one to talk to

You are not alone Ali, and i know how hard it can be. Like you i was plagued with Arthritis from a young age also. Over the years i have been on a number of medications, it took awhile for the doctor to find the right combination that worked. Theses days I am not in a lot of pain and its manageable. Just try to be patient and talk to your doctor about how you are feeling, things will get better and you wont always feel this way.

I’ve been on so many medications and none are right for me it’s just such a long waiting game feels as if it’s never going to end, some days I can’t even get up to go the bathroom without crying in pain it just all gets too much for me at times

I have some information that might help you, If you want to message me or have one of your parents message me. I would be glad to pass on the information. There are treatments that may help. I have been through quite a few treatments over the years and have had some success with a few. I know what you are talking about with the pain. I used to have to get my knees drained regularly because of the amount of pressure that would build up and like you there were times i could barely get out of bed. It sucks i know but it will get better.
